World Trade Center Cross Porcelain Plate

This fine white porcelain plate features the Iconic “World Trade Center Cross” photographed by Official Ground Zero Photographer Gary Marlon Suson. On the morning of 9/11, two giant steel beams broke off from the 67th floor in the shape of a cross and landed upright in the rubble. Discovered on the third day after the attacks by ironworker Frank Silecchia, the cross became a symbol of hope and now stands on display at the National September 11 Memorial and Museum at Ground Zero. This image is considered the finest ever taken of the WTC Cross and shows the names etched into the steel by firefighters and cops, long before rust and erosion covered it up. Sepia toned. Now available in this tasteful collector’s plate by Maryland China Co.
