In an image that has been featured worldwide on television news and print media - an FDNY Firefighter appears to pray just before digging for victim’s at Ground Zero. The image, photographed by Gary Suson at sunrise on a Spring morning in 2002, became the cover photo for the Barnes & Noble Book, “Requiem: Images of Ground Zero” and portrays the emotions of Ground Zero in a single image.
